Yngve Zakarias har printet tresnitt på lerret, analysert årringemønsteret i kryssfiner og kodet det om til virtuelle landskap på kino, senere maskinstrikket kartene til store kamgarnspledd og designet moteklær av stoffet. I denne serien, Virtual Woodcut, blir de organiske fortellingene printet på tynne aluminiumsplater som henger fritt.

 

These prints are called Virtual Woodcut. The images are  rooted in Virtual Woodscape. Each motive is a selection from the large contour map that defines the shape in Virtual Woodscape.

Mounting the aluminium panels is easy, by nail, thread or simply leaning. When suspended on threads, they resonate with sounds that support a minimal, multimedial experience.
