Patterns in a wooden board look like a landscape map. The lines could serve as elevation info. Virtual Woodscape was experimentally reconstructed in 3D on the computer – a kind of reverse engineering the landscape from the map.

This alien, yet recognisable landscape can be navigated by means of video as shown in the film and in high definition prints.

Virtual Woodscape started late 2004 in collaboration with Trondheim Art Museum and the University of Natural Sciences in Trondheim, NTNU. The Art Museum presented Virtual Wodscape 2005 in video and large prints.
